Install Windows 10 to Play Nintendo Switch Games on Mac

Well, you can only play Breath of the Wild by using an emulator on both PC and Mac now. However, there is pretty much no Nintendo emulator that supports macOS up to date. Therefore, you will need to install Windows in order to play the game.
Before we begin, make sure you have enough space to install Windows 10 on your Mac. And, the best way to do it right now is by using Boot Camp, which requires a considerable amount of storage. So, you will need at least 64 GB of storage on your device. Also, don’t forget to back up your Mac in case something goes wrong during the process. Ready? Follow the steps in our detailed guide for how to install Windows 10 on a Mac using Boot Camp.
Play Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on Mac with Cemu Emulator
The instructions for downloading Cemu emulator are pretty straight forward. Follow these steps to download Wii emulator for Mac:
1. Go to Cemu official website and click on the download at the bottom. Plus, the emulator is only 7.3 MB.
2. Next, head over to Cemu hook and grab the latest version of Cemu hook.
3. Moving both of these files to the same folder and start extracting the Cemu files first.
4. Then, drag the Cemu hook file into that new folder you just created.
5. Here, extract Cemu hook directly into your Cemu folder by right-clicking on the Cemu hook and choose Extract here.
6. Now, you are ready to launch the Cemu emulator and enjoy Breath of the Wild on your Mac.
Note: The first time you boot up this app, a dialog box will appear. The only important thing here is downloading graphic packs to configure your input settings. In addition, feel free to tweak around with the graphics settings to see what works for you.
Of course, we don’t recommend you try this on the MacBook Air model. But, for more powerful models like the Pro or iMac, the Legend of Zelda runs pretty well. I have tested it on my 2017 MacBook Pro and the game runs very smoothly at a low setting.
Also, note that there is nothing called The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for macOS. So, we suggest not downloading anything like it because mostly it’s scam.
