Creating contact groups is pretty helpful if you want to stay in touch with many of your friends or family members. Unfortunately, iOS device doesn’t include the option to create a contact group. However, there is a simple workaround for creating contact groups on your iPhone. All you need to do is to use your iTunes and iCloud accounts.
With the help of iTunes and iCloud, you can create contact groups and delete them from your iPhone. In this tutorial, we will show you how you can do that.
Steps to create contact groups on your iPhone
Step one: First off, you need to connect your iPhone to iTunes
Step two: Next up, open iCloud on your computer and sign in with your details. Once you are in, you need to click Contacts. From here, you will see a list of all contacts you have already synced
Step three: Hit the Plus symbol located at the bottom of the contacts list and then click on New Group from the list of options. After that, enter the name for the group to proceed
Step four: To add a new contact to your newly-created group, you simply need to select All Contacts from the sidebar and locate the contact you wish to add to the group
Step five: Head to your iPhone and launch the Phone app from your home screen. After that, tap on Contacts and hit the Groups at the top left corner
Step six: Once you are in, you will see your newly-created contact group under the iCloud section.
You can easily send messages to all contacts you have added to a particular group. To do this, launch the Messages app, start a message as usual and locate the group you want to send messages to from the To section.
Steps to remove a contact group on your iPhone
Step one: Open iCloud on your Mac or Windows PC and then sign in with your Apple ID
Step two: Next up, you need to click on Contacts and then select the group from the left column. After that, click on Show Actions Menu at the bottom and select Delete from the list of options
Step three: Hit Delete button to confirm.
