Last month, rumors claimed that Apple might discontinue the Air lineup, instead, working on a new laptop series. However, it seems that things have changed. Apple has been developing a new MacBook Air for years. In reality, MacBook Air owners are expecting a huge upgrade from Apple.
According to the latest sources, the upcoming MacBook Air will feature the Retina display, marking the first Air model with Apple’s own display technology. This is something we have been expecting to see for years. All Apple products, like an iPad, an iPhone, or MacBook Pro now feature Retina displays.
Back in July, Apple announced new MacBook Pro models with a huge under-the-hood improvement. Specifically, the new Pro models feature 8th-generation Intel Core processors, thus offering two times faster performance. Besides, the device will include support for a True Tone technology, third-generation keyboard, and better Touch Bar.
The upcoming MacBook Air is expected to come with the True Tone display and dynamic stereo speakers. Besides, the new laptop features a new cooling system and Thunderbolt 3 for faster data transfer.
However, we are expecting to see Apple debut its new MacBook Air at its annual September event. The company has its tradition of launching its new iPhone models at the event. Apple is expected to launch three new iPhone models, including a new iPhone X, an iPhone X Plus, and a 6.1 inch iPhone model.
The 6.1 inch iPhone model will use an LCD display panel. Besides, the device will come with wireless charging functionality, Face ID, and better Touch ID. Sources claim that Apple will remove the traditional 3.5 mm headphone jack from its cheaper iPhone model. This goes in line with what we heard in previous rumors that all 2018 iPhone models will not feature headphone jack at launch.
This year, there will be two premium iPhone models, including a new iPhone X and an iPhone X Plus. The iPhone X Plus will come with never-seen-before features like an in-display fingerprint scanner. Apple has been working on a scanner that works under the display for years. It’s now ready to announce it to the public.
