iPhone 11 Pro | First Impressions

We’re entering a new era of iPhones. Finally, we have an iPhone powerful enough to be called Pro. The iPhone 11 Pro comes with some new interesting features including extended battery, a new A13 bionic chip, and of course, the new triple-camera system which will revolutionize the way you take photos and videos forever! So, let’s jump straight into it starting with what’s on everyone’s mind.

Triple-Camera System

Triple-camera system

We have a lot to cover when we bring up these cameras. There’s an absolute ton of features here which we have never seen on any other smart phone. Let’s start by talking about the three cameras and what they do differently

Wide Camera

Zoom 1.0

This is your standard camera, it has a fast f/1.8 aperture and focus pixels that cover 100% of the sensor. This camera, although still impressive, is the least impressive camera on the iPhone Pro as you’re about to find out.

Ultra Wide Camera

Zoom 0.5

The Ultra Wide Camera is actually at a 0.5 zoom level. This means it’s actually zoomed out from your standard photo. It has an ultra wide 120° field of view and a tremendous range of focus across the entire image. It gives stunning photos that you wouldn’t be able to take with any other smart phone. This, for me, is the camera that I’m most excited to use and I can’t wait to try it out and see what I can do with it.

Telephoto Camera

Zoom 2.0

There’s a new Telephoto Camera with a larger f/2.0 aperture which lets in 40% more light. This is your zoomed in camera with a 2.0 zoom level so it’s great for when you wish to get in close with your subject. You could take all three of these photos from exactly the same vantage point

A New Era of Film Making

The iPhone 11 Pro makes film making easier than ever

Thanks to the new A13 Bionic Chip, these 3 cameras can be used to record at the same time. This will revolutionize the way we film as it would now require less takes to get amazing footage. You can also record using both the front and back cameras simultaneously, allowing you to capture genuine reactions in an interview, for example, while only using one device.

The Highest Quality Video in any Smartphone

The iPhone 11 Pro allows you to make videos with greater detail than ever before. With the new A13 Bionic Chip, you can shoot in 4k with extended dynamic range and cinematic video stabilization all at 60 fps. You also have more creative control with new editing tools to easily edit your videos and also a larger scene, thanks to the Ultra Wide Camera. iOS 13 allows you to edit your videos in the same way you would a photo. Rotate, crop, add filters, it’s never been easier to make your own style!

Night Mode

High tech meets low light

This is by far the best night mode that I’ve seen on a smartphone to date. I’m almost doubtful that it can perform as well as Apple claims it does. Either way, I’m excited to try it out. The new Night Mode uses high tech software along with the A13 Bionic chip to take low-light shots like never before. The best part about the new Night Mode is that you don’t have to know a great deal about lighting as it’s done automatically (although there is a way to do it manually). Each of the photos that Apple has released has an extraordinary amount of detail considering the conditions they were shot in, it’s hard to believe it’s actually been taken with an iPhone.

As you can see, Night Mode makes a huge difference

So, we always expect two things from every new Apple product; faster performance and longer battery life. Well this time, Apple really outdid themselves! The iPhone 11 Pro has up to 5 hours more battery life than the iPhone X Max depending on which model you get. This means that you can watch around 20 hours of video on a full charge! On top of that, there’s a new fast charger that will give you up to 50% of your battery in a 30 minute charge. Wireless charging is also now possible too.

Choose the Right iPhone for you

The new iPhone 11 Pro comes in four colors: Gold, Midnight Green, Silver, and Space Gray. All of which come with a nice matte finish. It’s also available in two different models: iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max and are available to order now from $999 for the Pro and $1099 for the Pro Max.

Other Features

There’s just so many things to mention about here without giving you a novel! Here are some other nice features that are included on the iPhone Pro

  • Dolby Atmos – 3D sound makes your experience more immersive.
  • Audio Sharing – able to connect 2 AirPods or Beats headphones at once (coming soon)
  • Faster WiFi speeds – WiFi 6 means you can download up to 38% faster
  • Up to 30 LTE bands – Gigabit-class LTE for extensive roaming worldwide
  • Dual SIM with eSIM support – good for people who often travel abroad
  • Water Resistant – up to a depth of 4 meters for up to 30 minutes

Let’s be honest, this phone is not for everyone. But you could say the same for any of the Pro products in Apple’s arsenal. For me personally, I use my phone excessively all the time. If I’m not on YouTube, then I’m on Facebook or Instagram. Even when I’m at work, it’s easier for me to use my phone for notes or for asking Siri to make a quick reminder for me. This is the best phone for me, it’s expensive, but I know that I will get my moneys worth out of it.
