iOS is considered as the most secure mobile operating system, as Apple sets up restrictions for its own OS. The passcode is really useful as it helps protect your device from unauthorized access. However, there are times when passcode becomes a cause of annoyance.

Step 1: First and foremost, connect your iPhone or iPad to Mac or PC.
Step 2: Launch your iPhone on Mac or PC and select your device at the sidebar.
Step 3: Once it is done, click on Back Up Now under the Backups section. If you successfully back up your device, you will see the latest backups with data and time under the Back Up Now button.
Step 4: Put your device in DFU mode. Once it is done, you will be asked to restore your device, and all you have to do is to click on Restore. Note that Restore means that all the data will be removed including the passcode from your device.
Step 5: Exit iTunes, disconnect your iPhone or iPad and re-connect it with computer, and then open iTunes on your Mac or PC.
Step 6: Select your iOS device from the top left corner and click on Restore Backup. Once it is done, click on Restore to confirm.
Wait until your device has been restored and you can use your device normally without passcode.
The other option is to use iCloud to fix the issue. Here is how you can do it.

Step 1: Go to iCloud.com/#find and enter your username and passcode.
Step 2: Next up, click on All Devices, and select your device from the drop-down menu.
Step 3: Click on the Erase iPhone at the bottom right.
Step 4: Once your device has been restored, you need to restore it with a backup and set it up as a new device.
That’s it! You now can use your device normally. However, try to remember your passcode which can be used to unlock your device. Restoring is not always recommended since you can lose your precious data.
