If you now have multiple email accounts on your Mac, well you are not alone out there. Normally, you can set an email address as default on your Mac, meaning that all emails sent from your side will come from your default email address. However, there are times when you want to use a different email you have already set up on your Mac to send an email to someone else.
In this step-by-step guide, we will show you how to change the “Sent From” email address on your Mac. Before we begin, keep in mind that what you will do below is different from changing the default email account on your Mac. All you are about to do is to change the Sent From address for your currently composed email in the Mail app on your Mac.
Steps to change the Sent From email address in the Mail app for Mac
Step one: First off, you need to open the Mail app on your Mac and then compose your email as usual
Step two: Next up, head to the “From” section and click on the drop-down menu. From here, you will see a list of all email accounts you have already set up on your Mac
Step three: You simply need to select the email address you wish to send your currently composed email from
Step four: Once you are done, all you need to do is to send the email
That’s it! Note that if you don’t see the “From” pulldown menu option, this means that you do not have more than one email account on your Mac.
Keep in mind that you can use the above-mentioned process to change the “Sent From” email address in the Mail app on your iPhone or iPad.
