How to back up your iPhone or iPad to external hard drive using iMazing

Backing up your iPhone is one of the smartest things to do if you want to make sure your personal data won’t fall into the wrong hands. Apple is making backing up an iPhone much easier, as all you need is a computer with the latest version of iTunes installed on it.

While this is a great way to back up your iPhone, one major drawback is that your backup data can put a lot of pressure on your computer’s hard drive. Fortunately, you can use an external hard drive to save your iPhone backup, so you can save a considerable amount of space on your machine.

To back up your iPhone to external hard drive, you need a helping hand from a third-party app. There is an exciting app dubbed iMazing, allowing you to easily back up your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, without using iTunes.

In this guide, we will go through the steps to back up your iPhone or iPad to external hard drive. Before we begin, make sure you now have iMazing installed on your machine. If not, head over to this link and download the software.
