Restart Your iPhone
For any technical issues, simply restarting your device sometimes does the trick. So this method may work with Wi-FI calling issues as well. Different iPhone models may have different ways to restart:
- For iPhone X or newer, press and hold the Side button and either Volume button. The “Slide to Power Off” bar will show up. Swipe the dragger across that bar to turn off your phone. Then turn it back on by holding the Side button until you see the Apple logo show up
- If you are using an older model, press and hold the Side button until the power off slider appears. Drag the slider across your screen to turn off your phone. Press and hold the Side button again to turn the phone back on.

Make Sure Your Phone Model and Your Carrier Support Wi-Fi Calling
Unfortunately, Wi-Fi Calling is not completely available in all countries and regions. Some specific carriers also don’t support this feature. You can check this list from Apple to see if your network carrier is compatible with Wi-Fi calling or not.
On top of that, you will need an iPhone 5c or Latter to use Wi-Fi Calling.
Update Your iPhone
An old iOS version can be the cause for several issues on your iPhone, including the Wi-Fi Calling problem. This is even more true if you are on a public or developer beta version. Therefore, you should make sure that your iPhone software is up to date to prevent abnormalities.
To update your iPhone, go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update. The newest iOS version is iOS 14.2.
Make Sure Wi-Fi Calling is Turned On
On your iPhone, Go to Settings> Cellular> Wi-Fi Calling and switch it on. If you don’t have this option in the settings, your cell phone plan does not include Wi-Fi Calling support.
Connect To Another Wi-Fi
Sometimes the Wi-Fi signals may be disrupted and become unstable, thereby preventing Wi-Fi calling from working properly. If there are multiple Wi-Fi networks in your location, you should try to switch to another Wi-Fi network to see if it fixes your issue.

Reset Network Settings
Resetting your iPhone’s network settings can be a great way to solve any problems relating to your network connection, including the Wi-Fi calling issue. To do this, you need to open Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Doing this will erase all your Wi-Fi settings, including saved passwords. So you will need to reenter your passwords after the process is complete. Do note that this will also reset the Cellular, Bluetooth, VPN, and APN settings on your iPhone.
Contact Your Wireless Provider
If you have exhausted all the possibilities but Wi-Fi Calling is still not working, you may consider contacting your wireless carrier for more support.
