Apple Watch is one of the most desired smartwatches on the market. First debuted in 2015, Apple’s wearable device quickly becomes the top priority when it comes to smartwatches. The original Apple Watch was a great success out there, with over 4 million units sold during three months of availability.
In 2016, the Cupertino company announced the Apple Watch Series 2. With the Series 2, Apple finally turned its smartwatch into a useful item, rather than an expensive jewelry on your wrist. Last year, the third generation Apple Watch debuted in September. The device marked the first time Apple adopted LTE connectivity on its smartwatch lineup.
Apple Watch 3 with LTE quickly dominated the smartwatch market and was the best-selling wearable device in Q1/2018. The reason behind Apple Watch’s success lies in its exciting features. With that in mind, we have created a list of the best tips and tricks for your Apple Watch.
Before we begin, make sure you now have a modern version of software update on your Apple Watch. You can update your Apple Watch by using the Watch app on your iPhone. Open the app, select Updates tab, and check for any available updates.
Find your iPhone
Apple Watch is now smarter than you think. Apple has been adding new features and skills to its wearable device on a semi-regular basis. One such feature lies in the ability to find your iPhone. In other words, if you now have an Apple Watch, then you can use it to locate your missing iPhone.
This is a great addition as it eliminates the need to call your phone to locate its position. Specifically, Apple Watch sends out a ping noise to help you find your iPhone if it is misplaced. Basically, the feature requires Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection to work, so make sure your Watch is paired with your iPhone.
To access this feature, swipe up from the bottom of your watch’s display. After that, swipe right on the screen until you see the Settings page and then hit the pinging phone button. Once you do that, your phone will emit a ping sound, so you can easily locate it.
Customize your watch’s face
One of the best things when it comes to Apple Watch lies in the ability to customize your watch’s face. In watchOS 4, Apple added three new watch faces, including a Siri watch face, a new Toy Story face, Buzz Lightyear, and Kaleidoscope face.
Apple is making the process much easier and quicker on your Apple Watch. All you need to do is to press and hold in the center of a watch face and then select Customize. Once you are in, you can change the color of the watch’s face or add widgets.
Apple says that the company will add more watch faces in future updates. In watchOS 5, Apple revamped some watch faces to make them more visually appealing and useful.
Quickly silence your watch
Apple Watch has a lot of small but handy features. One such feature lies in Cover to Mute. As the name implies, you can quickly mute notifications and alerts on your Apple Watch by simply covering the entire wearable device. This is a great feature for those who want to quickly silence your watch in meetings or crowded places.
To enable this feature, open the Watch app on your iPhone, then tap on Sound & Haptics and simply turn on the switch for Cover to Mute. Once enabled, the feature will disable all notifications or alerts.
Take a screenshot on your Apple Watch
Taking a screenshot on Apple Watch has become much easier than before. To quickly take a screenshot, you simply need to press one of the buttons on the right side of your watch. Once you do that, your photos will be saved to the Photos folder on your iPhone. To activate this feature, you simply need to open the Watch app on your iPhone and then enable screenshots. Besides, you can quickly check time or date on your watch without lighting up your screen or raising your wrist.
Remove your notifications at the same time
If you now have a ton of notifications on your Watch, then it’s time to clean up the mess. Fortunately, you can quickly remove all notifications with a simple tap on your Apple Watch. To do this, you first need to access your notifications on your device, then perform a Force Touch on the center of your screen and hit Clear All button.
